Privacy notice

Who is responsible

Phil Synnott is the data controller for the waiting list. For a privacy question or request, email info@dualitybook.com.

What is collected

The form collects your email address, your consent choice, and the date and time of signup. The site also stores your optional-cookie preference locally in your browser so it can remember your choice. Our service providers process the technical information needed to run, secure, and deliver the site and waiting list.

Why it is used

Your email is used to send the free opening chapters, illustrated previews, publication news, and release information for Duality. The lawful basis is your consent. The address is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

Consent and withdrawal

You are added to the waiting list when you submit the form. You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting Phil Synnott.

Service providers and transfers

Specialist providers support the mailing list, website hosting, security, and optional measurement. They may use approved subprocessors or process data internationally under their contractual safeguards and published data-protection terms.

How long it is kept

Your waiting-list record is kept until you unsubscribe, ask for deletion, or the list is closed after it is no longer needed. Limited suppression information may be retained so that an unsubscribe request continues to be honoured.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to withdraw consent. You may also raise a data-protection complaint with Phil Synnott. If the matter is not resolved, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and tracking

The site asks before enabling optional cookies or similar measurement technologies. If you accept, they help us understand how the site is used. If you decline, they are not enabled. Necessary technologies that keep the site working may still be used.
